Reflam is a microprocessor-based flame presence indicator with outputs and inputs to control and signal flame presence for multi-nozzle burners or all applications where the fuel cannot be directly controlled and where flame controls cannot be used. The instrument is used for remote signalling via two voltage-free outputs. In addition, for multi-nozzle or multiflame burners, the presence of an illegal flame can be monitored and the ignition transformer can be remotely controlled by means of the start input. Note that in these applications the solenoid valves for fuel interception must be controlled by certified flame control devices (see EN-746/2). ESA Reflam is equipped with an ECS serial interface that enables the ignition transformer to be activated and flame presence to be monitored remotely, permitting the control of several instruments by means of the serial communication. A local Start/Stop pushbutton is found on the front panel, together with a display showing the cycle, a bar graph flame signal indicator and two LEDs for configuration of the serial address using infrared. The instrument also makes a Start/Stop input available for remote control. ESA Reflam is supplied in a robust thermosetting casing designed for housing the TAR-10 ignition transformer and for the cable outlets, that can be pre-wired on request. ESA Reflam permits the parameters and modes of operation to be configured according to the requirements of the application using dedicated programming software.

ESA Genio is a microprocessor-operated flame controlling device designed to supervise one-stage burners, displaying the status of the burner in an extremely simple though thourough way. The device is description supplied with a strong thermoplastic casing equipped with holes for cable outputs which may be cabled in advance if required and for the ignition transformer. On the front panel there is an on/off button, a reset button and three LED's for general information about power supply, status of the burner and lock out status. The device warns the controlling system if there is any burner failure in the burner either by closing the normally open contact or displaying no defaults in the burner via an output with a calibrated resistance to connect to a burner counting device. ESA Genio allows to change both the prepurge time and recycle even during the installation phase, whereas safety and reaction times are fixed and may only be modified by the producer.

ECS Driver is an interface card allowing any controlling device to communicate with units equipped with ECS (Esa Communication System) serial input. The ECS bus guarantees good immunity to electromagnetic disturbances, using high electrical signal levels and medium communication speed. It entails the parallel connection of all units and the simultaneous use of busways and cables with the additional advntage of connecting and disconnecting units without having to close the communication loop. The ECS bus entails a master-slave type communication with only one active interface for each section of the serial line. If the application finds a number of units exceeding the number the ECS active output is designed for, it is possible to use ECS Driver as a signal repeator. The ECS signal to the bus is taken at the active output. The ECS Driver is equipped with connection for DIN guide to be installed in electrical panels, located near the master controller or on the equipment. The ECS Driver has two LED's to indicate the data flow sense on the serial line: one LED lights when the interface is transmitting, whereas the second one lights when the interface is receiving.

Prog-1 is a device designed to program the communication parameters of the flame control devices of the ESTRO series and of the previous devices. The configuration may be carried out either via serial line (ECS) or infrared signals. Due to its small size and the fact it has no supply cable the device is easy to handle and use. The front panel has 5 buttons for the selection and transmission of the parameters and an LCD for data display; the infrared interface is on the front, whereas the connector for the ECS connection (double wire) is on the side. When the device is switched on, it displays the serial address (segment and node) which may be modified and transmitted to the flame control. The choice of the type of interface is to be done during the ″Programming″ mode. The device displays the sequence of the operations it is carrying out, and also any possible communication errors.
