The EDGPS-1 gas safety system is a complete gas proving and gas detection system designed for installation into private housing. The system uses a central control panel to operate a gas valve that controls the supply of gas to the property. On start up, the system will only open the valve after proving that all pipework is gas tight. A combined sensor detects the presence of carbon monoxide and methane and, in the event of a gas leak, the system will close the valve and stop the flow of gas. If carbon monoxide or methane is sensed, the system provides an output to the Enterprise Telemetry system which links directly back to a central monitoring station.
